The Tricky Mind
the mind is tricky, everyone has been a victim of its pranks at one time or another. I have been a dupe for my mind for a long time. No matter what I do and no matter how hard I try, I am unable to master my mind. It must be laughing at my puny efforts. The things is that I am subject to the moods or the feelings that my mind puts me into. It is like I have absolutely have no control over it and it feels like it is controlling me and the way I feel and my actions are dictated by it. I cannot help but think that this must be what they mean by predestination. It might be that my soul is hard-wired so much that I am unable to do any re-programming at all. I have read self-help books and they preach the same thing in one form or another. They say the same aphorisms, that you can control your life and your destiny. What they do not talk about is your mind and how tricky it is.

What they tell you sounds logical but to tell the truth, it is just theory. Some kind of results might be obtained but how efficaceous or how long-lasting are these effects? Nobody writes about those of us who go from one guru to another, from one program or regime to another only to fail after the initial euphoria of perceived progress.
